Gold Tetrahedron mug

A beautiful fine bone china mug hand-decorated with a 9 carat gold geometric design.

The gold geometric patterns are based on the Platonic Solids, a series of five solid shapes named after the Ancient Greek thinker Plato. Their mathematical beauty has led them to be repeatedly linked to the construction of the universe. They also symbolised the basic elements: earth, air, fire, water and a mysterious fifth element.

Each fine bone china mug is decorated with the 9 carat gold design before being fired in a kiln to set the gold securely into the ceramic. They will be fine on the top shelf of a dishwasher but this will tarnish the gold over time, so best to handwash.

We think these mugs are great for a proper cup of tea as they are a larger size mug!
